JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an insightful and creative thinker to join our growing strategy and insights team. This position will be an internal ‘dot connector’, focused on shaping the strategic direction for our clients by connecting qualitative and quantitative data sets, uncovering breakthrough customer insights, developing relevant social planning, keeping a pulse on emerging trends, and helping to inspire internal teams to reshape strategic thinking.

Our ideal candidate will have an innate curiosity about consumer and channel behaviors, an intuition for identifying relevant cultural trends, an ability to leverage and analyze multiple data sets and ‘sources of truth’ to extract relevant insights, knowledge of how to shape market research, and an understanding of how to merge it all together to develop actionable approaches for solving brand challenges.

The Social Strategist should feel comfortable advocating for relevant strategic direction across social platforms, and help to create the necessary consensus with our clientele to achieve results. They will collaborate across internal BCV teams to continuously provide powerful insights and recommended tactics to deliver impactful client work and progress company output.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Work closely with the VP of Strategy and Insight to develop strategic framework across
company, including consistent rollout of industry insights, trend reports, and point-of-views
● Provide seasoned expertise for specific social channel strategies, including Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat, Tiktok
● Develop an immersive understanding of the hospitality category, including market dynamics,
customer mindset, competitive actions, brand metrics, and industry trends
● Initiate strategy discussions and subsequent market research initiatives to identify key needs
and potential brand opportunities
● Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members for the successful building of integrated,
innovative social strategies across multiple social channels
● Mine data, research, and intelligence reports for insights and implications; derive and
articulate insights that will drive behavior change
● With the Media & Analytics team, analyze social data and synthesize research into rounded
insights and actionable opportunities; understand campaign performance and how those
learnings impact future campaigns
● Develop strategic hypothesis and assist in writing brand strategy plans based upon insights

● Conduct ongoing trend analyses to identify and interpret customer/market insights as the
basis for strategies and communication, including change perceptions and influence behavior
● Assist Client Services team with social media platform and tool integration for test & learn
opportunities, including identification and launch strategy
● Support relationship development with platform and vendor partners
● Support internal creative and strategy brainstorming sessions, ensuring the streamlined
production of key insights and output
● Support response to new business opportunities and RFPs
● Consistently strive for innovation through market research and offerings to impact revenue
● Continually maintain and supplement internal library of strategy resources for BCV teams

QUALIFICATIONS

● 3-5 years of experience in social and/or digital marketing, ideally within an environment
specializing in insight generation
● Ability to think big across a wide range of strategic opportunities, from launch planning to the
evolution of long-standing platforms, and ideate areas of potential innovation
● Proven track record of understanding client business and connecting business challenges with
social strategies and tactics
● High level of comfort with research techniques and insight generation
● Demonstrated experience with analyzing and synthesizing data to identify strategic and
creative opportunity
● Collaborative mindset – approaches projects proactively, effectively, and seamlessly within an
integrated agency team
● Ability to produce clear and concise written materials, including strategic rationales,
point-of-view statements, and case studies
● Excellent verbal and presentation skills; demonstrates the ability of influence with the
capability to construct and support arguments
● Takes ownership over assignments and projects, seeing them through to completion
● Strong ability to brainstorm and participate in group discussion
● Experience working with luxury and/or hospitality clientele a plus
● Marketing knowledge of international social media platforms such as WeChat, WhatsApp a plus
