Over the past few weeks all of our worlds were turned upside down after COVID-19 was declared a global pandemic. As this continued to unfold, it became apparent that we would not be able to conduct business as usual in regards to our luncheon programming and talent recognition programs like Shining Stars through the rest of our fiscal year. Since 1908, AAF Dallas has been bringing the industry together through our many events and initiatives to make our industry a better place to work and the world a better place to live in. We have been working diligently behind the scenes to ensure we can still do this in these unprecedented times. 

Here's how we are responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic:

  • SHINING STARS NOMINATIONS: We are extending the 2020 Shining Stars Nomination Process until May 1. We are going to see so many amazing rockstars shine during this unprecedented time. It is completely free to nominate some and to let them know you think they are worthy of being recognized for the contributions to your team and the Dallas advertising industry.   • SHINING STARS GALA: We have postponed the 4th annual Shining Stars Gala until September 3, 2020.
  • CANCELLED MEETINGS: We are cancelling all in-person meetings and events for Ad 2 Dallas and AAF Dallas through June 2020. 
  • RECRUITING FOR THE BOARD: We are looking for our new 2020-2021 board of directors. This is a great way to give back to our community.   • CONNECTING PEOPLE: We are making our job board completely free of charge for anyone in the advertising industry who is looking for a job or candidate. If you have been impacted by layoffs, please consider advertising yourself and your resume on our job board. 
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: We are actively looking for experts who would be interested in leading webinars over the next few months to provide our members with free content. Email [email protected] if you are interested in sharing your knowledge. 
  • GIVING BACK: We are looking for advertising professionals of all flavors to join our adhoc committee to create PSAs for our city to use. Contact [email protected] if you are in creative, production, project management, or media. We need a few people from each discipline to pull this off. 
  • SHELTERING IN PLACE: We are conducting all meetings over the phone or via UberConference to ensure the health and safety of our board members.

With all this being said, we miss you! During this time, we hope you remember how important our industry is during all of this. American Advertising Federation Appoints Moroch Partners as MARCOM Partner for 2019

Dallas, TX (Oct. 2, 2019) – American Advertising Federation (AAF) Dallas, the oldest civic organization in Dallas, is proud to announce it has selected Dallas-based Moroch Partners, a full-service independent marketing and communications agency, as its official MARCOM partner for 2019.

AAF Dallas Introduces its 2019 Board of Directors

The Dallas chapter of the national nonprofit organization, American Advertising Federation, returns for the 2019-2020 term with an incoming pull of 33 percent new committee chairs.

Dallas, Texas —  The American Advertising Federation (AAF) Dallas chapter announces the appointment of seven new members to its Board of Directors, added to its promising number of fourteen returning members, to serve in its 2019-20 term. This full slate of officers and board members consists of a total of 20 individuals from 19 agencies and industry companies located within the Dallas area.

With the combination of these new and experienced board members, the AAF Dallas strives to continue giving Dallas' advertising community a voice with more forward-thinking and inclusive support than ever before.

AAF Dallas & Ad 2 Dallas Receive National Honors

The American Advertising Federation, a national trade association, announced Wednesday, April 17, 2019, club awards throughout the fifteen AAF national districts. AAF Dallas is part of the AAF Tenth District which is comprised of Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas.

Advertising clubs are divided into five divisions based on membership size:

Division I     500+ members 
Division II    250–499 members 
Division III  100–249 members 
Division IV   Up to 99 members 
Division V    Ad 2 Clubs
AAF Dallas received second place for the highest national award, Division 1 AAF National Club of the Year. With more than 200 AAF clubs, this is a true honor to place 1st or 2nd in each National category. With First Place awards for Club Operations, Membership Development, and Diversity & Multicultural Initiatives. Dallas awards included Second Place for Public Service, Advertising Education, Communications, Government Relations, and Programs. In 2018, AAF Dallas received first place for the Division 1 AAF National Club of the Year.
Ad 2 Dallas received six awards including first place for Government Relations, second place for Diversity & Multicultural Initiatives, Membership Development, and Public Service, along with third place awards for Club Operations, Communications, and Programs.
AAF Dallas: Division I recipient of highest ADDY entry increase.
In addition, annually the American Advertising Federation recognizes clubs which have participated in the AAF American Advertising Awards and had substantial increases in entries.  The club in each AAF division with the greatest percentage increase year-over-year in total number of entries will have their AAF annual dues 100% waived for the following year, and receive special recognition at the annual conference, ADMERICA in Hollywood, Florida in June 2019.  Division I recipient is AAF Dallas. 

Collectively, the American Advertising Federation Tenth District clubs will be recognized with thirty awards.
