2020 District American Advertising Awards Announced!

The 2020 District 10 American Advertising Awards competition has just been completed.  Because of the ongoing situation, it took a little longer than usual. If you are a Gold ADDY winner, your entry has automatically advanced on to the National competition, paid for by the District. If you are a Silver ADDY winner, you will receive an email from the AAF National office asking if you want to advance your Silver entries on to the National competition. Those emails should start going out during the week of April 13th. The entry fee to advance Silver ADDYs to National is $125/per entry for professional entries and $30/per entry for student entries, payable to National who will have all instructions. All Gold and Silver entries have been shipped to National, you do not need to resubmit anything. The National judging will take place in May.

District Trophies will be shipped to to us when it is safe. We will host a happy hour when we can to ensure you get your awards!

Further, the American Advertising Awards are usually hosted at ADMERICA in June. It was announced to day that the in-person conference has been cancelled and they are working on scheduling a virtual award show for the winners. Information will be available at www.aaf.org as more decisions are made.

AAF Dallas Announce the 2020 American Advertising Awards Best of Show

Last night, we had the best time celebrating the amazing creativity coming out of Dallas!  We had so much fun working with Johnson & Sekin with the Must Love Ads theme for this year. The did a phenomenal job bringing this theme to life! If you missed the show, check out their groovy theme videos here. The Richards Group took home the Best of Show for their "Snapple X Old Town Road" in the social media campaign category. Other special awards went to:

  • Lerma, The Mosaic Award for "PRxPR Case Study" in the  Pro Bono Campaign category.
  • Launch Agency, Judge's Choice for "So Much Better TV" in the TV Campaign category.

This year, the American Advertising Awards Gala was the largest of the year with 604 attendees. We have likely outgrown the venue and are looking forward to the future of this program! Proceeds from the American Advertising Awards gala go directly back into the development of our industry through AAF's Education Initiatives, Public Service, Diversity and Multiculturalism Programming, Public Service and Professional Devleopment. AAF Dallas Announces 2020 The Suits Awards Recipients


DALLAS – AAF Dallas is excited to announce the 2020 Suits Awards Recipients. The Suits Awards is an award program designed to recognize and honor individuals across various advertising disciplines who support the creation, execution, and delivery of great creative work from the Dallas advertising industry. Each year, AAF Dallas selects one individual from each of the nine categories to honor. AAF Dallas will be recognizing these recipients and others on Thursday, February 27 at The Bomb Factory at the 58th Annual AAF Dallas American Advertising Awards Gala. The gala is one of the largest advertising events of the year in Dallas.

The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence. AAF Dallas American Advertising Awards Winners to be Honored February 27, 2020

DALLAS – The Dallas market’s best in advertising will be honored Thursday, February 27 at The Bomb Factory at the 58th Annual AAF Dallas American Advertising Awards Gala. 

Invitations are out for the black-tie dinner gala, which recognizes and showcase the area’s outstanding advertising creative work for the previous year. The event begins at 6:00 pm with cocktails followed by dinner and presentation of awards. The 2019 competition was a record breaking year for AAF Dallas with the largest amount of entries in recorded history. Judges chose winners from more than 700 online, broadcast and print entries from agencies, businesses and individuals doing business in the Dallas market as well as college students. 

The Dallas competition is sponsored by the AAF Dallas, a member association comprised of advertising and media professionals. Proceeds from the American Advertising Awards help support the AAF Dallas’s educational programs, public service projects and proactive government relations efforts.
