Nominations are Open for the AAF Dallas 2019 Shining Stars Presented by SMU Advertising

 

 

AAF Dallas is celebrating the 3rd annual Shining Stars awards program which honors top women in Dallas advertising. Shining Stars will be held at The Bomb Factory on May 23, 2019. Nominate your Shining Star for this honor by April 4th via our nomination form.

In 2017, we launched our AAF Dallas Shining Stars program to celebrate amazing women doing amazing things in Dallas advertising. Inspired after attending the Southwest Advertising Hall of Fame event, we googled “top women in Dallas advertising” and the result was “The 10 Most Beautiful Women in Dallas” instead of finding women who are producing thought-provoking and innovative work, breaking through barriers to create something new, or forging partnerships that drive growth. We believe ambition, work ethic, creativity, and leadership are qualities to celebrate and elevate. We believe when you get 25 incredible women in a room, great things happen. We believe it’s time that the nation recognizes our city as the talented advertising market that we are…and so the AAF Dallas Shining Star program lives on. In 2018, women from Southwest Airlines, PepsiCo, BBDO, The Richards Group, DREAM Fund, Spectrum Reach, The Marketing Arm and may more were recognized.

DALLAS – AAF Dallas is excited to announce the 2019 Suits Awards Recipients. The Suits Awards is an award program designed to recognize and honor individuals across various advertising disciplines who support the creation, execution, and delivery of great creative work from the Dallas advertising industry. Each year, AAF Dallas selects one individual from each of the seven categories to honor. AAF Dallas will be recognizing these recipients and others on Thursday, March 7 at The Bomb Factory at the 57th Annual AAF Dallas American Advertising Awards Gala. The gala is one of the largest advertising events of the year in Dallas.

The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence. The three-tier national competition is conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation, advertising’s largest industry association and the only one to represent the interests of all facets of advertising: advertisers, agencies, suppliers and media. AAF Dallas Award Winners to be Honored March 7,2019

DALLAS – The Dallas market’s best in advertising will be honored Thursday, March 7 at The Bomb Factory at the 57th Annual AAF Dallas American Advertising Awards Gala. 

Invitations are out for the black-tie dinner gala, which recognizes and showcase the area’s outstanding advertising creative work for the previous year. The event begins at 6:30 pm with cocktails followed by dinner and presentation of awards. The 2019 competition was a record breaking year for AAF Dallas with the largest amount of entries in recorded history. Judges Kevin Fullerton, Candace Queen, David Alvarez, and Stacy Milrany chose winners from 687 online, broadcast and print entries from agencies, businesses and individuals doing business in the Dallas market as well as college students. 

The Dallas competition is sponsored by the AAF Dallas, a member association comprised of advertising and media professionals. Proceeds from the American Advertising Awards help support the AAF Dallas’s educational programs, public service projects and proactive government relations efforts.

Tim Hudson, Founding Partner and General Manager at Belmont Icehouse Awarded 2018 AAF Dallas Member of the Year

We are thrilled to announce our 2018 AAF Dallas Member of the Year, Tim Hudson, Founding Partner and General Manager at Belmont Icehouse. The announcement was made at the 2019 ADDYs Kick Off Party on October 24. Over the past two years Tim has volunteered his time and his agency to transform the Marketing and Communications team at AAF Dallas.

Tim’s efforts have been crucial to the evolution of the MarComm team, creating a more streamlined process and consistent look and feel across collateral and channels.  His agency, Belmont Icehouse has volunteered their time and talents by taking on AAF Dallas as a pro bono client providing graphic design support, social media assets and promotion, and most recently the rebranding of AAF Dallas. We are so happy to honor Tim for his dedication and service to AAF Dallas.
