THE GALA

March 7 at 6:30 pm AT THE BOMB FACTORY

Invitations are out for the black-tie dinner gala, which recognizes and showcase the area’s outstanding advertising creative work for the previous year. The event begins at 6:30 pm with cocktails followed by dinner and presentation of awards. The 2019 competition was a record breaking year for AAF Dallas with the largest amount of entries in recorded history. Judges Kevin Fullerton, Candace Queen, David Alvarez, and Stacy Milrany chose winners from 687 online, broadcast and print entries from agencies, businesses and individuals doing business in the Dallas market as well as college students. For more information about table reservations or underwriting this event please reach out to allison farris at allison@aafdallas.org

WHAT ARE THE AMERICAN ADVERTISING AWARDS?

The American Advertising Awards are the largest advertising awards program in the United States that celebrates creativity and excellence in advertising. Entry into the American Advertising Awards begins with your local AAF chapter like AAF Dallas. A jury of advertising peers from around the nation will judge the local competion which will determine who will receive the honor of Gold, Silver and Bronze ADDY Awards. Only the best work will then move on to the district then national level for the opportunity to elevate your agency as one of the best in the industry.

Please read the official rules and please note: There has been an update in the rules for any physical entries you enter. Be advised that it must fit in the provided plastic bag and include this year's edition of the ADDYs poster. You can obtain both the clear plastic bag and poster for each of your entries at StudioTribe (1210 E Levee St, Dallas, TX 75207) or please contact Allison Farris at Allison@aafdallas.org to arrange pick up elsewhere.

Additionally, printed materials CANNOT be mounted and their size CANNOT exceed 13x19". Failure to adhere to these guidlines may result in entry disqualification. For more information about entering the Dallas American Advertising Awards please see our new guidelines poster where these guidelines are clearly defined.

NEW LOCAL ONLY CATEGORIES FOR 2019

L1: The Dallas Foodie - The best of food/restaurant category advertising in Dallas. This can be in any media format.
L2: Corporate Creative - The CC award is for the best of advertising created in-house in Dallas. This can be in any media format. 
L3:The Dallas Holly - The best of holiday-specific advertising created in Dallas.   This can be in any media format.
L4: The Extreme Makeover Award - The best of rebranding created in Dallas.  This can be in any media format. 
L5: The Brand Activist Award - The best of CSR advertising created in Dallas.  This can be in any media format.
L6: The Graveyard - The best of ideas that the client didn't buy created in Dallas.  This can be in any media format.

Entry drop off information

*Please note: that you do not need to drop off any physical entries for work in: ALL Online/Interactive categories (#37-47 and 75), ALL Film, Video & Sound categories (#48-71), and SELECT Elements of Advertising Categories. Even if you enter exclusively in the digital categories, you must still submit a signed manifest at the drop off location.
